Help with fuel pump!!!!!!

My fuel pume won't activate. There's no juice getting back to it, I checked the wires for conductivity. We've traced all wires, but we can't find any sort of fuse. I looked in my repair manual, and it says there's a fuse for it, but there's no spot for it in my fuse box.

P.S. I've got a 91 RS with a V8

DJX,

Check the fuse holder on the radiator support near the battery. I know the Camaros are backward fromt eh Firebirds (or is it the Firebirds that are backward? Whatever...)

This fuse powers the fuel pump and ECM. It is also possible the fuel pump relay is not operating. It should be located near the firewall on the driver's (left) side.

If that fuse is okay, you can run through the code 54 chart. Code 54 is fuel pump, low voltage. The chart runs you through all the wiring between your fuel pump and the rest of the car. I typed the code 54 chart up a while ago; it should be the same wires for your '91 V8. The chart's at https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/001981.html

Followup

Well, I checked all the wiring, and upno pulling off the relay, I found it to be sufficiently toasted. I hoped it would fix the problem, but it didn't. Power now gets back to the pump, but still nothing. I think I'm gonna have to spend Saturday dropping the tank and putting in a new pump. bummer

And just as a remider to anybody else who has a fried fuel-pump relay (And replacing it seems to fix the problem), the fuel pump will probably go within the next thousand miles. So, stay close to home
