a few basic questions
I want to make sure I now whats in my engine before I break it down. These are basic questions and just making sure. My engine is 1989 5.7 TPI What size studs do my rockers have? I do have one pc rear seal , right? What are length of my rods? What are length of my push rods? What kind of pins are in my pistons? Thanks

89BB,
Presuming you have an original '89 350 TPI, you should have 5.7" con rods (center distance), 7.20" push rods, pressed piston pins, 3/8" -24 UNF rocker studs (pressed in), a one-piece real main oil seal, cast iron crankshaft, two bolt main bearing caps (with the thrust bearing on #5 cap), cast iron heads with 1.94"/1.5" valves, dual 1.240" diameter valve springs (with inner damper spring) at an installed height of 1.72", exhaust valve rotators, 11/32" diameter valve stems, 4.90" valve stem length, hydraulic roller lifters with "dog bone" and "spider" retainer system, link-belt style timing chain, dual lip front oil seal, steel distributor gear, 9.025" deck height, 2.45" crank main journals, 2.10" rod journals, 1.8675" camshaft journals, and probably a few other things that are relevant but I can't think of.

Hey Thanks. Any suggestions on new pistons? I will be running 89 corvette heads with ZZ4 cam. Heads have been worked to match cam lift. I am still a bit confused on what rods , crank and pistons to run. I look at a PAW book and there are many choices. I am building a street car but would like to run it on the strip once in a while. RPM range 5500 max. I am putting in 22 lb. injectors and want to upgrade my TPI to 52 mm body, SLP runners and then SLP headers. Any help would be great.
