stainless valves
hello people.i'm doing a cam swap after allot of advice from you guys. ihave to change the springs so i'm thinking on removing the heads. my machinist says i should install stainless steel valves, they hold up to the abuse better. i'm also planning on nitrous, any experience withthis? would it be worth the money?

the valves will see more heat
stainless will hold up much better. If you doing a valve job, I would not go back with the original valves and stainless are only about 90bucks a set.
You are less likely to pull a valve stem off with onepiece stainless.
If planning NOS go with at least 8 degrees more exhaust duration.

how long do have on the heads?
You really need to do a vj with new valves.. the seats won't match too well otherwise.. but.. if you don't have more than 10K miles on the existing topend.. I would not worry about it.

i've got probably less than 2000 miles on the heads. i entered my specs wrong before it has .015 more lift and 8* more duration on the exhaust. how does your 400 run with the 4.10 gears? what rpm thru the lights?
