Need help with my GTA and 383 I built

I have a question
I have eBay aluminum heads that were custom made by a shop here
They have dual valve springs
And huge valnes
Now
I have a roller block
My pushrods are the stock 7.2"
I had eBay 1.6 alum roller rockers I got 2 years ago on the stock heads no hitting
Now I out then in this head and they are hitting the inside round edge on the roller rockers
And they have wore a tiny mark 12 o'clock on my valves
I just put the stock gm rockers back on thinking i would get more clearance but I didn't
They are still just tofhing the 12 position
And now there is a tiny tick mark on the inside of the stock ones
Does anyone have exp in this stuff
I sbc pushrod length checker proform
And I thought my size was right
But now I see scorpion brand roller rockers have a narrow body design they are very exp
Would it be worth it it I dremeled my alum eBay ones just inn the area they hit
It runs fine just not high rpm
The whole engine starts vibrating
After 3500 to 4000
It's should go to 6

Don't Dremel ANYTHING.

What springs? Are the valves stock length? What did your witness marks on the valve stems look like when you used your adjustable push rod at 7.2"?

If they are center-bolt valve covers you need the Scorpion narrow body rockers. Otherwise they won't clear the valve cover bolt pipes.

You say hitting the valves at 12 o'clock but the rocker arms have marks on the inside body where the arm ends and the body housing the fulcrum begins. Yes? If so you should verify your roller tip pattern on the valve tip. If the contact patch looks good most likely the p-rod length is good also.

If you have good contact patch then what you are hitting is the spring retainer I think. Yes the only way to clearance for the retainer is to grind out enough metal on the rocker arm body. That was how Smokey Yunick (RIP) did it and good enough for me.

Good luck.

Re: Need help with my GTA and 383 I built

Scorpion makes roller rockers that are 1.625" wide triple valve springs
I have double springs and they are 1.425" so I just need a set of 16 scorpion roller rockers
They told me when I had heads built that I was good for .550lift max
So I.only have .525
Anyways
That's it
My stock valves were 1.25"
