Restrictor Plate
Do you guys think it would be possible to build a restrictor plate for my car to place under the 1" carb adapter. I would like to know if this would work to increase gas mileage, or if distribution problems would be created. The reason is ask is i am going to drive across country and would like the best gas mileage possible.
Also what other ideas do you have for increasing mileage, short of trans or motor swap.

If you want better gas mileage, swap to a Q-jet, if you need rear tires soon, wouldn't hurt to run some slightly talller tires to reduce your effective gearing as well. Make sure all your tune-up parts are fresh, as well as timing set correctly, clean air filter, etc. Wouldn't hurt to experiment with a little less timing and 87 octane gas as well to reduce costs. Synthetic oil has shown me some mild gas mileage increases as well.

what really killing u is the 3.73s and what i would imagine is a non-lockup350
the taller tires will help... but they will really need to be 28+ inches. Try to find an OD gear somewhere.
