Question

So i got my intake manifold gasket replaced but before i did i only hand on slow oil leak the rear main seal now after i got it, it is timing cover and i think the front main seal too my oil pressure is really low now i give light throttle in drive i hear knocking, but when i was leaving work i had oil pressure above 30 i didn't hear the noise until it warmed up then it dropped right above the red line.

I just tested it in park still warm i got the noise all the way until i got the oil pressure gauge to 30 then it stopped what could have happened? was it me getting that new gasket installed that caused this or something else?

Re: Question

I got my intake manifold gasket replaced a week or two ago and after that i have been having low oil pressure and two more oil leaks popped up and a knocking noise that goes away when its cold and the oil pressure is high but when it gets to running temp its starts knocking again could a new gasket cause all this?

Re: Question

Maybe... Could have a piece of old gasket blocking your oil pickup. Or it could just be a coincidence. Do a visual inspection to figure out where the oil is leaking. An engine can go from working perfect one day, to spinning a bearing in a quick hurry. Could have just decided to lay down for no reason relating to the gasket.
