what AFPR to buy since the mallory 4309 is discontinued?

hey guys, currently having a carb'd 383 vortec stroker built for my 86 trans am thats originally a 305TPI car. I was looking into what adjustable fuel pressure regulator to buy and the majority of thirdgen members say the mallory 4309 is the best one.

the problem is that they appear to be discontinued now, is there a second runner up? does anyone have any recommendations? thanks.

Mallory was bought out by MSD and they are transitioning to MSD part numbers.

It is now:

See also:

But for whatever reason it doesn't list the 29387 as the new number on the 4309 line. Weird.

For the cost of a little brazing/painting and a cap screw you can make your stock regulator adjustable. Of course, if the pressure is within reason you can always leave it alone and adjust the injector constant in the program.

switching to carb and leaving the tpi pump in the tank so the stock regulator on the rail won't work
