Need Help

I am doing a engine build over winter and I need some questions answered.

I have a 88 305 sbc and center bolt heads roller cam

I can get a used 350 block from a guy here but its a non roller and 2 piece rear main seal....I can find anyone with a 1 piece rear main seal block
Can I put everything from 1 piece to the new 2 piece converting to a 1 piece.

or am I sol?

Re: Need Help

There is very little parts that will interchange from a 305 to the 350 block. For what it's worth, buy a new crankshaft for the 350 block if it doesn't have one.

Non roller block means nothing. You just can't use OEM style lifters. An aftermarket roller lifter with link bars will work just fine.

If the 350 block is more than 4.000" bore, I'd walk away from it. You would be much better off finding a complete 350 engine than just a block.
