No crank no start issue

No crank no start issue
So last year I parked my car to resume working on the body since I bought another vehicle and recently tried to start if and nothing. I've checked the relay and it's functioning properly and the vats system is as well. There is no security light on so I am just wondering if I am overlooking something or if it's just the starter? I turn the switch and nothing happens at all. The solenoid doesn't click, nothing. Any ideas or does it seem like the starter to everyone else as well? I hope I posted correctly this time, I'm new here so...

Is the purple wire on the starter getting power when you turn the key to start? That will tell you if the starter is getting signal to turn over.

Yeah it's getting power. I decided to check my neutral switch and after messing with it I was able to get the starter to turn. Problem is now it's making a grinding noise while attempting to crank ( still not turning over but starter is engaging.) I'm kinda leaning toward the starter not fully engaging but not positive if it could or couldn't be anything else.?

Are you sure the battery is fully charged? Wouldn't hurt to load test it (after it's fully charged).

Anyone consider that the solenoid is failing since u have the click, click then a start?
