'92 305 TPI runs for 2-3 seconds then dies
Ok guys, need some help here. I have not messed with the TPI stuff much so I'm alittle lost.
I have a '92 Z28 with a 305 TPI engine. It will crank and run for 2-3 seconds then die. Oil pressure gauge reads 30 psi when it's running.
I do not have a high press. fuel gauge, but I pushed the schrader valve with a screwdriver and it squirted fuel out.
I put a funnel in the throttle body and dripped fuel in and it will run as long as I drip fuel into it. I let it run for about 2 min. this away.
Seems like the injectors are not giving engine any fuel..
Now the kicker is this is a hacked up car. Engine, and all is un touched but they lost the key punched out the locks, ripped wire out under the dash, and shorting starter with a push button.
I'm thinking VATS system may be stopping the power to injectors, but I jumped the orange and pink wire from main harness under hood together and still the same thing. I heard you can jump those to wires together to bypass the vats.
