1988 I-ROC Air Injection System
I'm trying to register my 1988 I-ROC in Colorado and I can not pass emissions. It's failing on three different parts;
1) HC GPM. The limit is 2.0000 & I showed 2.1657
2) Gas Cap Integrity. I just need to buy a new gas cap. Any suggestions?
3) Air Injection System Presence. I'm not even sure where I am looking for this at, and my search results showed very few answers to this.
From what I know, the previous owner put new headers, re-did the tranny, and did a new cat back exhaust. He also lived in Wyoming and didn't have emissions.
If anyone if able to help with finding the correct parts to get these repaired I would be so happy.

Search on AIR pump, it is the belt driven pump on the lower passenger side of the engine.
Look for the diverter valve above and behind, next to the valve cover, behind the AC compressor.
Follow that to the AIR manifold (1/4"-ish stainless tubes) to distribute the fresh air into the exhaust manifold... which you don't have because you have headers.
Thanks to Hawks for the picture.

My suggestion would be to bribe somebody, only the State of Colorado would expect a 28 year old vehicle to pass thier idiot smog test.

When they're in good working order, they are pretty decent on emissions.
