Starting the build, need some advice on parts
Hi all, I have an 84 firebird, non computer controlled car that died on me last year. I have saved up and it's time to upgrade. Can you guys with more experience tell me the following items will work with my setup
Year one crate engine ct350pc1
Reuse existing carb q-Jet
Monster transmission 700r4 that can handle upto 450hp and 400lbs + tq
Hooker headers 502-2055
Hooker header catback system 16823hkr
Hi flow cat summit cto-9118
Msd stree fire spark plug set 5562
Spohn sfc(already have them)
I do not have to worry about emissions, am exempt in Canada.
I need to know if the hooker header 502-2055 will only work with tpi or can I use it on non ccc and is there a product to cap the air tubes on them?
Note: This is a canadian car 4bbl v8 lg4

I can't see any reason why those headers wouldn't work on any V8 third gen, carbed or otherwise. That said, I suppose it's that you already have them is the reason for looking to cap the tubes? Otherwise, get a set that doesn't have the air fittings.
As for capping them, I'm not sure how Hooker attaches the tubes to the header however, on a cast manifold, it's a threaded fitting and it's easily sealed off with a simple pipe plug. 3/8" NPT thread if I recall correctly.
