91 won't start

91 won't start
My brother's 91 Camaro won't start and Im trying to fix it for him but I could use some advice or tips.
When I turn the key it turns over and tries to start but doesn't quite get there. After I release the key it sputters for a little and shuts off Which makes me think it's getting fuel? It drove fine on Wednesday and just started not starting this morning. The temp outside was in the single digits this morning and I don't know how much of a factor that could be. The only things I had time to try was to put some gas in it since the gauge isn't always accurate and I tried jumping it with my car in Case the battery charge was too low but none of it helped.
So, any advice you have for what to check first would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Re: 91 won't start
give it a good shot of starting fluid, hold it to the floor, and let up when it starts ... if it starts, give us some more info on how it runs

Re: 91 won't start
Thanks for the response!
I sprayed the throttle body with carb cleaner and tried it again with no success in getting it started. The cleaner that flowed back out was blackish so not sure if that's bad. I also used an inline spark tester to see if the ignition was working. Only tested three out of six plugs and those worked. I could smell gas so it Seems like the fuel pump is still working. I removed the gas cap and it made a woosh / was pressurized so I think that's normal? Never had that with my car that I've noticed though. Any chance the fuel filter is clogged and not allowing enough fuel to get to the engine quickly enough? If I can figure out what's wrong I know I can fix it, I'm just now sure how to diagnose the problem.
Edit: I'm dumb. I'll go get some starting fluid and try that.
