Cruise control vacuum ?
Everything concerning the cruise control vacuum line system is gone. Ball and the hoses. The electrical aspect has been unplugged from the switch on the column. I don't and will never use it so that's OK but I want to know if the vacuum port has been capped off. As far as I can tell there is not a vacuum line diagram available for the routing of the cruise control system.
So what I need to know is where does the vacuum line originate . Where is the original port that was supplying the system ?

The manifold vacuum signal starts next to the fpr hose off the hvac T.

Re: Cruise control vacuum ?
the rear port goes inside for vents , the line off the side port goes to the vac ball with a T off that line to the cruise canister

I used the link you provided to locate a diagram showing the LO3/5.0E Camaro cruise control vacuum routing. Should do it.
Thank you !
I'm still open to any other information / diagrams out there .

Thank you very, very much. You guys are great.
Question = Can I simply plug/cap the line there without any adverse reactions ?

Re: Cruise control vacuum ?
I would like to second what Vetteoz has said , and if this were mine to do , and I was still using the heat/ac system , I'd run a hose directly from the 3 way valve on the back of the manifold to the vacuum ball . I have personally seen the effect of no vacuum reserve and it is that the heat or ac will default to blowing out the defrost outlets only every time ya punch the gas (or are even modestly into the gas , for that matter) . It defaults to defrost so that any vacuum failure will result in still being able to defog the windshield , in a nod to safety .
Now , if your not using the heat or ac , then by all means feel free to plumb out the orb of power , as it does nothing else for the car besides maintaining a source of vacuum for the heat/ac under low vacuum conditions ...

Re: Cruise control vacuum ?
I'm going to cap it off for now but will run a hose from it to a ball when I find one.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Update =
This is what I found. It does show it in the diagram below so I'm going to call that done unless anyone says otherwise.
Thanks to all of you,
Ron
