92 rs 505 tbi blown head gasket Help!!

Ok so I brought my car to a friend and he said I have a blown head gasket, (noticed some coolant leaking from driver side head) I have never done a head gasket but have done just about everything else on this car from new fuel pump to every sensor so figure this will be interesting.

I ordered a new head gasket set (Fel-Pro HS8510PT4 Head Set) and a head bolt set also fel-pro (Fel-Pro ES72856 Misc Set) I also picked up a new oil pan gasket since it has a small leak I also got a spring kit (Edelbrock 5877 Performer Sure Seat Non-Rotator Valve Spring) also ordering new headers (Hooker 2460HKR Competition Ceramic Header) So I was seeing if there was anything else that I should get.

any recommendations or insight?

Also I have a stupid question can you replace the valve guides on stock heads? if so I want to order a set since I will have it apart anyways

Re: 92 rs 505 tbi blown head gasket Help!!

i think valve guides are replaceble on the '87 and newer "centerbolt"heads-at least a 1988 "187"305 head i have does have replaceble pressed in guides.Check the heads to make sure they are flat-very common for chevy heads to be far from"flat" If they are warped, most any engine shop will have the machines to skim the heads flat again-could have the same shop regrind the valve seats if needed.

yes I plan to have them resurfaced at a machine shop, I am just wondering if I should order new guides ahead of time.

Also does anyone have any other recommendations on additional work while I do this?
