is it worth it to upgrade to 24# injectors
hi i am about ready to replace the injectors on my 350 and am stuck between stock 22# or just goin with 24# injectors since i plan for future mods ontop of what i already have.....i know i will need to have that changed in the chip but how much of a problem will i have just running on the current tune?? how much more potential do they have over 22# injectors?

Probably only needs a fuel pressure adjustment.
Get the Frod light-blue-top Bosch units. You can get em all day long on ebay for less than $50 a set.

Assuming your current FP is 42 psi, you need to turn it down to 36.5 psi to run 24 lb injectors with your current tune.
Flow rate is proportional to the square root of pressure.

Depends on your future plans and what you can buy either for, as well as an adjustable FPR you'd need for the 24's, or a chip reburn.
If you don't expect to exceed 350 crank hp anytime soon, I'd lean toward staying with 22's. Keeps life simpler.

Re: is it worth it to upgrade to 24# injectors
Haven't done anything besides very simple external bolts ons to mine, but after the Multecs started going bad I put in a set of Bosch 0280150561-D9B pink tops. Don't recall if they're 22# or 24#, but the car sure ran much better with working injectors. They're sorta noisy though...clicking. .

I think the pink tops are 22#/hr but I could be mistaken... they're quite a bit less common than the light-blue tops though.
For as cheeeeeep as you can pick up the light-blues for, an AFPR would STILL make it a good deal.

I had stock replacement "standard" brand injectors installed and my car runs great , very responsive , no problem breaking the tire loose on a stock setup

Re: is it worth it to upgrade to 24# injectors
I ran the Ford Svo 24lb/hr (Blue) injectors. Had to turn my fuel pressure down from the stock 43.5 to about 42 psi to avoid running too rich down low in the rpm range. This was before I learned how to tune.
