Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 9-bolt 3.27
while I have the eng/trans out l-98 should I?
I have the engine trans out, I was wondering if anyone thats done this has any advice (woulda,coulda shoulda) seeing how everything in easy to get at right now. 1987 iroc l98 bone stock ... Sensors? injectors? BTW I ain't looking for mod-advice I'm leaving it original.

Now is a great time to start cleaning and repainting the crossmember and the rest of the engine bay. Also be sure to check things like your rubber engine mounts.

Yeah good idea, you think I should change all the sensors and injectors too?
it did run good before the tear down though.

Spray with gunk,scrub,rinse.spray,scrub,rinse,spray,scrub,rinse. Ah you get the idea.

This is a good time to reseal things. Any place where you see leaks, replace gaskets and seals. Take a good look at your underhood wiring. By now alot of the factory corregated loom has gotten brittle and broken off. Replace it now while it's all accessible Repair/replace any bare wires or broken connectors.
