noise when hitting throttle
1991 camaro z28 carbed v8. There's a noise coming from the front of the car when I step on the throttle and the car moves. But when I take my foot off the gas and the car coasts it goes away. The noise sounds like its coming from the engine area. It sounds like a whirl and gets faster as the car goes faster but again when I lay off the gas it goes away. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

No idea, I would need to hear it. I suggest you take an experienced mechanic for a ride.

Re: noise when hitting throttle
Is it a clutch fan or flex. The flex fans do tend to whir. If its a clutch fan, check the clutch. It could be locked up

Do you have any bent blades. Anything in or around the shroud that could be vibrating?

Re: noise when hitting throttle
Without hearing the noise those are my best guesses. It could be a alt going out. A water pump going bad a. A power steering pump that's low on fluid. Air pump squealing. So on and so forth
