Camaro low power and crazy shake
i had a master mechanic install a 383 stroker i bought turn key from united racing engines. there is a crazy shake at idle and at higher rpms. shakes car and steering wheel . car isnt very fast either. engine has dyno of 417 horse and 425 ft torque. my moms 305 would smash it!!! Any suggestions? not sure what would be causing the problem. Thanks.

yea id check all the wires to make sure there in the right order AND not grounding out on anything(headers intake melted ect.) if that doesnt help make sure your timeing is correct. if its none of that id pull all the plugs out and take a look at them

dont know if this matters, but engine sat for over a year after i got it and i installed an electric choke on the carb. not sure if that has any bearing.....

if the electric chok isnt openong all the way it could be running rich. thats why your plugs are black. (or your rings are bad and its oil fouling bad) try holding the choke open all the way with some wire and go for a test drive and see if that helps any

so i had a different mechanic look at it and he says its dumping gas......ok? he did a little bit of tuning on the carb, seemed to run better. wants to check timing again. yay. seems to think the shake is from the headers hitting the frame in a spot. Frickin headers have been giving me nothing but problems. We'll see what happens............ I appreciate the input. Thanks
