Pics of the inside of an L98 please!
Hey guys. I am starting the plans on a mild build for my L98. Pistons, crank, cam, ported heads and intake, full exhaust. I have built several DOHC engines but have never been inside a pushrod motor. The first time i saw the cam setup of a DOHC it really gave me the perfect mental picture I needed to plan building an engine and just helped me learn a lot more as I could picture what people were talking about.
So could someone post some pictures of the internals of a stock l98? It might be asking a lot but it would help me go into this a little less blind. Especially pics of the cam set up, the pushrods, some of the valve covers off. It would be a huge help. Thanks a million in advance guys.

this should clear up some things for ya. Much simpler than a DOHC. I still can't picture in my head what my 4G63's valvetrain looks like. The cam is pretty well hidden by the time the crank gets put in. With the block upside down on the engine stand, you can see the lobes in between the main webs. This is (aside from the bling parts) what the factory hydraulic roller L98 setup looks like. The horizontal bars at the base of the pushrod are the "dogbones" that keep the roller lifters lined up on the cam lobes. In this last pic, you can see the "spider" that keeps the dogbones from jumping up off the tops of the lifters.
