OXIDATION IN FUEL LINES-WHAT TO DO???

Ok guys, not much interest in my unfinished project, so I'm gonna try to get it finished. My main concern is this brown crusty stuff in the fuel lines and rail. I got so much money in this job I don't mind getting new feed and return lines, but is there anything I can do to flush out the fuel rail without taking apart my superram and removing the rail?! I don't want to ruin the 30lb injectors...

Rod them all out with brushes or something.

I don't know of any chemical that attacks that stuff, other than the thick brown stinky carb soak cleaner. Not even lacquer thinner.

That's what I figured. I can get repro lines for a couple hundred bucks, but I guess I gotta bite the bullet and remove the fuel rail The tank, pump and pickup are new, so they're fine.

When steel oxidizes it's called rust. Nothing turns it back into metal again. You can thank Ethanol in the gas for a spike in these types of problems. It's hygroscopic (retains water).

Clean OH SO CAREFULLY. You don't want it going into the injectors.

I know. That's why I'm gonna replace the feed and return lines. I'm hoping if I take the rail off I can maybe use a gun cleaning brush on the steel tubes that go in and out.
