Does it say CNC anywhere on the cam? And that's a flat tappet cam.

Doesn't look like it matters much at this point unless you're starting up a "rusted industrial object" museum.
$15 down the drain. I hope you bought it before you saw it?

Re: help identifying a old cam
besides the major cleanup that will be needed with that
cam,a flat-tappet cam that has run long enough to have
"broken in"will be risky to use with new lifters-lifters
and cam lobes wear to a specific pattern when they
"break in"and if new ones are installed and run on a
broken in cam, rapid wear and oil contamination with
metal particles is the usual result.

It cleaned up really well! If it doesn't workout summit has a line of cams for around $75, or cam and lifters for $100. And fwiw, that looks like a new cam compared to the one I pulled out of mine.

Re: help identifying a old cam
Might be clean but doesn't mean it should be used. That cam is wiped out - the 3rd lobe from the front of the pic is rounded off - see how it's not as 'pointy' as the others. Use it to go beat the guy over the head.
