350 roller build help
I need a little advice on what I should put on my engine for peak hp. Currently I have a 87 350 swap with a roller cam. The cam is the comp cam xr276hr with beehive springs. Edelbrock performer rpm intake, msd streetfire hei distrib with 8.5 wires, hooker 2055 headers into high flow cat and gmmg exhaust. The 700r4 transmission is running a 9.5 in 2700 vigilante stall converter with lock up. Also it has the corvette servo and accu pins and a trans go shift kit with separator plate from probuilt. The rear end is getting 4.10 put in next week. My current et is 14.3. I was wondering what I should port my heads to? I also need to replace the carb as it is CCC with no computer hooked up. Any recommendations on anything I can do for a better build let me know?

Re: 350 roller build help
You told us lots of irrelevant things like the size of your plug wires but you didn't tell us what heads you have.
Your '87 roller engine could be from a truck or a Vette
Decypered
He has a carb ( which he wants to replace ) on a 350 with 276 roller cam and whats to know if to port his heads

Re: 350 roller build help
I apologize for the puzzle I left. I have cast iron vortex heads. I was wondering what is the best size to port my heads to as well as just any advice on what to do next.

Re: 350 roller build help
276HR, 2,700 stall, vortec heads... and you are only running a 14.3?! What was your trap speed, 330' and 60'?
Your car rather runs like complete garbage, you roast your tires off for at least a full second or you're reading the wrong lane's time slip.
Do not port those heads. As stated, clean the castings around the intake/exhaust ports (debur).
What are you shifting at? I want to say the Performer manifold would be better than the Performer RPM in your application. But either way, as long as your compression is 9.5:1+, you should be seeing mid to low 13 second passes. That motor is more than capable of 320+ horses and 400+ ft lbs.
