84 Z-28 smokes when running
New to the board and I need help! I am a jeep guy and the only sports car I've owned was a 98 camaro with the 3.8l. I decided to buy a project and a $500 f-body didn't seem bad. I've replaced the fuel pump power steering pump heater core and starter solenoid. Guy I bought it from put an edelbrock performer 600 cfm carb on it and started an egr delete which I finised to clean things up. I've been rewiring and running vacuum lines my hands are destroyed and I finally got the damn thing running but its blowing white/gray smoke out of the exhaust. I don't have a clue as to why but I need help I'm replaceing the blower motor today and changing the oil and I know the carb is running rich as help, could that be my problem, its cold and it choked and its rich? Im new to the carb game having had f.I. in my jeep. Thanks in advance

You might want to do a compression check and look at your oil. I could be wrong but it sounds like a head gasket to me.

Checked compression came back good on all 8 did discover that one spark plug is new and the other seven look destroyed bought replacements and changed the oil looks good to me black but no gas or water in it. I dunno still smoking not as bad though hoping its the carb tryin to tune it now.
