Fourth Gen Olds Cutlass question

It's somewhere in the eighties (1986?) model Olds Cutlass, original engine was a 307 but the owner of the car (GF's dad) swapped a Olds 455 carbureted in it from a 1976 Olds car. It's a built motor and this car is retired from running the strip... Anyways, long story short a certain individual that knows how much he loves his car (AKA soon to be ex-wife) cut everything she could, changed what she could, and ran the car out of gas and drained the battery.

I've checked timing, firing order, dizzy, cap, rotor, replaced all visible broken wiring and vacuum lines, charged battery, filled it with gas.

It's getting spark, it's getting fuel... But it just cranks and won't turn over. I don't have a lot of time to deal with it and he doesn't have time at all. So swing some ideas by me, what do you think she fawked with? What should I check?

Looks just like this, identical except for rims.

Re: Fourth Gen Olds Cutlass question

I know it's a Third Gen forum but figured I'd give it a shot?

Re: Fourth Gen Olds Cutlass question

Make sure #1 (at the cap & rotor) is lined up when the balancer is a top dead center. Or it could be 180 also, need to put #1 cylinder at tdc on compression stroke.
Check compression too.
