oversized oil pan
hey guys, i picked up an 84z28 supposedly swaped in 350 out of an 88 truck.
havent had time to get the block casting numbers to make sure but when i got it i had some lowering springs sitting in my garage so i put those on and now i noticed the lowest thing on my car is my oil pan... not even 2 inches from the ground. and i didnt even lower it thaaat much. about 1.75in front and 1.5 rear. it shouldnt be this low should it?? i got 9 inches from the block to the lowest part of the pan.(the rear) i have another one that measures 7in i believe and when i tried installing it the part that scoops up the oil hits the bottom of the pan. (it also measures almost 9 inches from the block). what is that part called and can i just swap both with ease?
ill try to get some pics soon and any help is appreciated. thanks
