getting much closer to installing the 3.0
well as of today im officially very close to being done with my iroc. my iroc has taken first proirity over the firebird as its going to be my new daily driver.
but as of a few mins ago this is how far ive come on the iroc
by next weekend i should have this thing comlete and then i go ull my v6 motor and turbo system out of storage and have the firebird towed to the house from were i have it sitting right now.
the firebird shouldnt take long though i still need a transmission for it but it should be a striaght ull the v8 and trans and assoiciated wiring etc and dro in the v6
atleast i hope anyway lol

I'm guessing cause you showed off the TPI, which looks like its coming along quite nicely btw. Curious is that just metallic paint, or are the plenum and VCs anodized? Looks like the latter.

Re: getting much closer to installing the 3.0
it srt of shows u in the one picture of the t76 turbo i had. when the hood comes off ill try to get some ictures in the sunlight with a real camera, been using my cell phone for pics right now
heres one i had thats a lil better but the metalic isnt showing
so i take it any post in the v8 section of a v6 car should just get moved just because or vice versa
well thats becuase everyone knows what im waiting to get finished before i start my firebird project, this post was directly meant for the ppl waiting on my 3L motor project to go in the car
heres my v8 car that the 3L turbo motor is going into
and heres a shortblock

Re: getting much closer to installing the 3.0
any particular reason for not building it as a 3.4? Only reason I can think of is for higher RPMs with the shorter crank throw, but its not like the 3.4 would have problems getting to high enough RPMs to hurt itself..with the weak lifter valleys these engines have..
