Re: Trouble Starting the IROC.
my 85 camaro sounds like its doin about the same thing but i did a fuel pressure test already and no pressure the checked out the fuel pump relay (if it was the right one we looked at because its not mounted to the firewall like its supposed to be) and it looked to be in real bad shape then we tested to see if there was any power to the relay and there was also no power so where are the computers at on these cars?

You probably tested the wrong wire. Is there 3 relays that look the same? Like a large black box? If so, I can hook you up. The ONLY way to identify the relay is by position (ONLY if the PO didn't switch them around). But u van aso identify it by the color and number of wires. Tell me the groups of colors to EACH relay and ill help you out.

When you turn the key to on, do you hear the fuel pump whine? if you do, the fuel pump relay is fine.
but Ill still post up a diagram for ya. Now keep in mind, Im not sure if your wiring is just like mine. I got a 86 IROC.

Re: Trouble Starting the IROC.
Man I wish the manuals had colored diagrams at least. Then again I wouldn't have had so much fun doing it myself!! Anyways, my manual says its all the same through 89. The relay with the dark green/ white and tan/white is the fuel pump relay, my fuel pump relay is square (not the one by the fender)while the other 2 are rounded. Anyone elses square? Good way to point it out for future advice.

Re: Trouble Starting the IROC.
Yup. THe relays changed position with each following year. The relays stayed the same untill 88, I think. My Bro N Law's 87 IROC has the same bulky black relays. KELBY JONES, try not to mix up the relays if you remove them. They are all different. One has 4 prongs while the others have 5 prongs. Also the 2 relays that have 5 prongs are different. 1 has a small resistor inside and the other doesnt.
