oh ok cool thanks but it also makes a weird noise it sounds like its coming from the fuel tank but the fuel pump has been replaced.

Re: Help Engine heats up at idle

This is the typical operating temperature range. IIRC, the OEM fan switch for a dual-fan setup doesn't even turn on until 230°F.

I don't like those temps on mine because the engine smokes like a chimney over about 200°, so I wired a toggle switch to the second fan, lowered the first fan's on/off temps in the PROM, and have a 180° thermostat. Engine still runs fine and does go into closed loop on an otherwise stock tune, though I could probably get a bit better efficiency if I spent some time playing around with it.

well I got the radiator changed and I got a 160 thermostat and it seem to have helped im thinking of bypassing the fans so that they are always on.

That's a bad idea.
Here's a better idea: Jet Performance Fan Switch

Yeah fans always on is bad. The above suggestion is good. I put a 160 deg thermostat in my old bird and it helped tremendously. Never overheated. Heck it generally never ran above 190-200 after that. The only down side to that is the heat wasn't as great in the winter.
