305tpi to a 350tpi computer ?'s
the car is an 86 trans am ,the engine is a 88 5.7L from a corvette.now my problem is the engine runs on the 305 prom and esc(spark controll module)not very well i might add.but when i changed to the 5.7L prom and esc the engine will not start.the prom came from the vette that the engine came from but the esc is new.is there something that i am missing?

I could be wrong but I think you need the computer from the vette as well. If it's the same TBI setup (which I believe it is, again I could be wrong) then the harness should be reusable. I tried the same thing once on my old 92fbird. I don't know why but switching out the proms made things worse. I had to actually switch the entire computer. In my case the computer from the donor vehicle hooked right up to my harness. Hope this helps.

I know that in order to use a vette computer in an F-body. Some repinning of the harness IS required. Is the 5.7 prom from an F-body?

You probably need F-body 350 knock sensor, F-body 350 esc, and definately an F-body 350 prom.
