how to the fuse box connect to 12v for bat

hey guys i recently did a engine swap and my issue is with the car turned off i have no voltage at the BAT spot on the fuse box. this is causing my power locks and inteior lights not to work and my radio loosing settings. when i turn the key to the on position everything is fine. lights all work everything.

so my question is how does the fuse box get its constant 12 volts? is there i wire i didnt connect right or something?

the switched voltage works perfectly right only there when the key is switched on

car is a 84 z28

thanks

There are two 12v wires that connect with the positive battery cable at the starter. Sounds like you only have one of them installed. If both are hooked up, then you probably somehow blew the fusible link that is built into those wires.
