Not a thirdgen but HELP PLEASE ASAP!!!!
We're talking about a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.4L i checked the fluids berly any trans fluid, oil was good, and needed anti-freeze badly so refilled that whats got me confused is the car revs on its own in park i have no clue. Its was on the freeway an it was shaking and the SES light was blinking is obviously not Over Heating Cauuse the temp has not risen ANy feed back would be awsome thanks guys!!!!!!!!!

what do you mean revs on its own, like idles high? Obd II tells you whats wrongs, whats the pXXXX code? If the ses blinks, usually thats means some major misfiring and you could damage the converter

thank you for replying so quickly k so the alternator was replaced causing the battery light to stay on, the battery blew, it was replaced, battery light is still on they said the alternator is giving it to my juice, wtf how does that happen? i apologize it does not rev on its own it ides fine then drops like its about to die but it doesn't it idels rite back up to normal. SES stays on now an i dont have obd ll reader so that out the window, an pXXXX codes????

alternators have something called a voltage regulator, pretty much your computer tells the alternator how much amperage the system needs, and the alternator outputs that much amperage, but sometimes the regulators can go bad, and the alternator can run rampant and burn stuff up. And you can take the vehicle to autozone or O'reillys, they let you use the scan tool to read the diagnostic trouble codes your computer flashing. Since it will be a generic code reader, it starts with "p" followed by some number (ex.p1050). the idle issue might be a plugged EGR, or O2 sensor, but get the codes read first and go from there
