I have searched several threads and can't find it anywhere or in my haynes manual. The car is an 88 305 TPI 5spd.

It's been hard starting for the last couple of days so I know it isn't the inline fuse so I'm beginning to think it is the relay or the pump itself. I have read that the pump is grounded under the driver seat (which I know is good because I just re-did the ground when working with the power seat). I just need to know WHERE the relay is!

I'm not hearing it buzz when i turn the key on...

Driver side firewall between brake booster and fender maybe? That's where it is on a TBI car anyway. Will have 5 wires to it, green w/white stripe, tan w/white stripe, orange, black w/white stripe, red

ok thanks. so next to the two maf relays? I just got it started... i'm pretty sure it's the relay.... thanks again

Again, I'm not sure - I know TBI cars, not TPI cars. But it WILL have those specific colored wires to it according to the wiring diags.

yea, you're right, that's where it was... but i don't think it's the relay now that i found it. the three middle wire are almost completely pulled out (or stripped) and all corroded... i'll just replace the connector and see what happens. thanks

hey im making a main kill switch for my fuel pump..dont ask why lol but i need to find the ground wire for the pump itself. can you tell me detailed instructions on how to find it?? or where its at and what i have to do to get to it? thanks in advance

now that i think of it the ground wire that was grounded along with my power seat was for the seatbelt light and not the fuel pump

Under the rear pass seat, there will be 3 wires - they run through a connector in the floor/under seat to the fuel pump. One is sender for the fuel gauge, one is fuel pump power, one is the ground. Pretty sure the ground is black, sender is purple, fuel pump positive is orange or red.

thank you camaronewbie! but now i got other problems besides my fuel pump not turning off today my car died on me while driving and wouldnt crank back over. cant even bump start it by dumping clutch when rolling. turns out starter ate half teeth off flywheel and my timing moved while driving i think.. anyways im replacing a flwheel now that has 187 miles on it. greeeeat but hey thanks for the info on the fuel pump wire locations!!
