head choice
i have a few sets of heads that are sitting under my dads bench that he said i could use. the one set are 461 double hump heads, 487x heads, and then some 305 l98 heads. the ones that need the least amount of work are the 487x heads, i could bolt them on now, followed by the 461 heads i just need to add the valves, and springs, i have it all and it would be nothing for me to do, the l98 heads would need to be compltely redone. I am only using these heads for the summer while i save up to get some aftermarket heads or maybe some vortecs

Re: head choice
461s won't fit your car; no bolt holes. Scratch those.
487X is a 76-80cc smogger casting. Decent flow, terrible performance. Scratch those.
The L98 wasn't a 305. No such thing as "305 L98" heads therefore. No telling what those might be. I'm guessing, you'll look at the casting #, and find ... like .... 187. Scratch those.
Sounds like EVERY PENNY you spend on any of that garbage, pushes your ultimate goal further out of your reach. Explain clearly how wasting money on ANY of that trash gets yourself closer to some better castings, and I'll sell you my beachfront property in Nebraska.
Keep your money in your pocket. Sell that other crap to some "greater fool", and use it on something with which you will proceed to beat the snot out of said fool at the track, using his own money which he stupidly gave away to you on your garbage.
