What motor is this. I got a Z28 on trade and trying to figure out everything about it, and trying to decide if it is worth puting money in to. Body is pretty striaght. Missing a few interior parts.

Re: 3914660
68 327 block could just as easily be a 350 with a 3.48 stroke. Both the 350 and 327 used a 4" bore. 68 327 would have a large journal crank so this could even be a 383 with some work. 63-67 Corvettes used the same engine displacement to make 365 horsepower at 6400 rpm, all with 2 bolt mains! The 327 was and is no slouch! There is not a darn thing wrong with 2 bolt mains up to 400 horsepower! Most early SBC 2bolts and the first 4 bolt main 350s used nodular iron or "cast steel" main caps for added strength. If you ever look at a TRUE 1970 or earlier 350 70010 block the three center main caps are very smooth and have a different look and feel because they are nodular iron. That is a MAJOR difference in early and late blocks. Later engines used a gray iron cap, which was cheaper and easier to machine, but much lower in strength.

So then if I buy some top end parts, though I heard the quadrajet is a decent carb, then would they all bolt to a 350 if I went that route at a later date.

Yes, like I said, if you get a 350 crank you could have a 350 right now. If you build it as a 327, your piston choice will be limited. There is still some good stuff available. If I had the choice, I would start off building the engine as a 350.
