It's a good price if they're not cracked. Work the deal some way so you're not out any money if they are. And have them checked at any shop other than the one the seller used.

Thats what I wanted to do . I was just wondering if there are any problem spots . Anything specific I should look for . And wanted to know it they will bolt up to my 87 with the stock intake no problem .
And I am not paying $550 for them . I wheel and deal with the best of them

They will bolt onto your IROC motor. You will lose EGR function though. As you can see from the photos the vette heads have no EGR ports as the vette's EGR fed off the exhaust manifolds.

EGR is an emissions control device, that doesn't hurt power. Used correctly, it can slightly improve gas mileage just enough to measure the difference. You have to keep it if your area does a visual inspection of the emissions equipment, even if it can't do it's job, it has to stay hooked up and appear fully functional.
It only adds about 1 pound to the car, so no worries.

Re: Will these heads work on my 87 L98 ?
Short answer, yes!!!
It will set a code 32!!!
No way to get exhaust gas to the diagnostic switch that tells the computer that EGR was detected due to ECM commanding it!!
P.S. If you install these on your car, you'll have to change your signature from: 87 Iroc-Z 5.7
All stock , Original yellow car to: 87 Iroc-Z 5.7 All most all stock , Original yellow car!!

Well first you'll need to do a on the spot test. Find a straight egde and put that puppy on the bottom of the head to see if its warped. Nest have the seller go with you to get the heads "magna fluxed." This is the 100% sure way to find out if the heads are cracked. But these heads are missing the EGR passages. Another good use for the EGR system is that there is exaust injected into the intake. The exaust helps keep upper cylinder temps low which helps reduce detonation and premature engine failure.

As I recall, they don't flow all that well either. There are several sites that have the flow numbers posted and you can check it out for yourself.
