coil question

coil question

does it matter which plug goes where on the coil? They are both the same I think...Im talking about the one from the harness and the one from the distributor

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one is for the RPM's and the other for the 12v for the coil from the ignition.

youre right but i dont remember which one plugs in where..anybody with a running vehicle should be able to help me here

EDIT: Well the 12v and tach are in the same plug..the other pair of wires that plugs in next to it runs to the dist...i dont wanna screw this up tho and be sending power thru the wrong socket

On a dual connector coil the plugs are usually keyed so they only fit one way
Is normal to have 12v to Pos terminal on coil and tacho signal from Neg terminal

well i hacked up my wiring a while back and cut the plugs off now i cant find them..so i just wired up some metal prongs to the wires. so basically i got four loose prongs, four empty holes, and no idea what goes where

can somebody please just post a close up pic of their coil so i can see what wires go where..this chiltons black and white is no help
