Throttle cable slack

is there a way to adjust the throttle cable on my 89 GTA? or do i need a new cable. There is a lot of play and the car tends to jerk when i step on the gas because the cable has to catch up with the gas pedal. any suggestions? thanks

Re: Throttle cable slack

alright cool. i also think a new cable would help my car downshift better, when i step it down the pedal really needs to get pushed all the way to the floor with the corner of my pinky toe if i want the car to downshift correctly.
