Car: 87 Trans Am GTA
Engine: 350 TPI
Transmission: 700r4
Trans Cooler Lines
I have an 87 trans am gta, with the 5.7L, and 700r4 trans. I am trying to put in a new radiator, and the trans cooler line under the lower hose is causing me so much pain.
The bolt was stripped decently, so I took it out with vice grips, and managed to get in the new hoses and new radiator just fine. The problem is, now the trans cooler line wont go in and stay in. I had no problem with the top line, but the bottom one just keeps rotating in place (outside the radiator). I haven't stripped the hole, or the trans line, and I have tried to move the line in so many different angles and ways, but its just won't go in.
Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, what'd you do to solve it?
