White smoke...

White smoke...
Hey everyone. So I've been having white smoke come out of my tail pipes for some time now. I've read on other threads that is more than likely condensation or coolant or something of that nature. My question is: is this something i should be concerned over and what do I need to do to make it stop?

Re: White smoke...
Is it a lot of smoke? If so, is the car overheating, loosing coolant, or loosing power? If so, it could be a headgasket.

Yea theres a good amount of smoke. I do have to check the coolant every other day. My mechanic had the car and said that it smoked on him but it went away after awhile. He said it was nothing to worry about but it hasnt done this before.

by "check the coolant" do you mean you have to add to it because its disappearing?

Re: White smoke...
Depends on whether you can do the work or not. If you can turn the wrenches, less than $100; significantly more if you can't.

to me, a headgasket is pretty basic, you have to be more patient and it takes a bit longer also, its really honestly easy, the hardest thing is getting the headbolts torqued down right but if you have a manual its easy, i had no clue what i was doing when i did my first one, noone to go to with advise or anything, i just got a manual and did it, if your confident about yourself you will have no problem
