Is a 224-230 .540lift cam to big for Older Trick Flow heads?
Will the TFS-31400006 heads work with a 224-230 .540+lift cam in a 355 with flat-tops? I have wanted some AFR195s but i have the option doin some trading for these Trick Flows heads. Not sure they will work tho. Can anyone help me out on this please?

They'll work with the correct springs for that lift. That's a lot of cam for a 355 TPI so tuning will be critical.

Probably, but it depends on the specs of the heads: intake port CCs, combustion chamber ccs primarily. Also, you'll need to consider the intended use of the engine.
How about tracking down the specs of the heads and post them here. Then we can perhaps be more specific.

there 63cc heads runner vol is 180cc, exhaust runner vol. is 76cc
i have the full instructions but cant copy and past for some reason.
The instrucktions say "notes-max cam specs with flat top pistons and 1.250" springs; 238 duration at .050lift, 106 lobe separation with .512lift

IIRC, the older Trick Flows are limited for lift because of the cast guides, overall shorter valves, and junk springs. Anything over .520 lift will require the proper springs, and have brass guides installed for peace of mind.
I owned a set, when the Twisted Wedge heads came out, and the guides were replaced in no time. If the guides are ok now...they will not be for long.
