Code 32 - 1992 RS
My friend recently bought a 1992 RS, assuming it's the 3.1 because it's not the 5.0. After the car has been on for a few minutes the SES light comes on for a code 32 - EGR Failure. I don't really know anything about this car because I've only been under the hood once and that was in the dark. Is it safe to assume the EGR valve just needs to be replaced?

I think it comes on after the car has been running for a minute or so. It doesn't go off until you shut off the car and restart it.

This is really throwing me off: http://www.summitracing.com/search/y...s/?Ns=Rank|Asc
Why are the prices different by over $200?

Re: Code 32 - 1992 RS
"If everything still checks out OK, then the only other thing that will limit exhaust gas flow is plugged up passages in the intake manifold and cylinder head. This is a common problem with the V6's and will leave many technicians scratching their head because the passages can't be seen. If all else checks out, get a rifle cleaning brush and a shop vac and start cleaning."
What passages can I access on my own without taking it apart down the cylinder head? I'm assuming the "x" looking thing on the top of the engine is like the plenum I have on my TPI?
