How not to drive a 3rd Gen!! Crazy pics
I had a great 1992 Camaro Rs 305 TBI 5-speed in great shape I was planning on Swapping for an LS1 soon BUT........My brother-in-law needed a car really bad so after many sleepless nights I decided to sell him my sweetheart. BAD IDEA!! The first month of aving the car he side swiped someone and ruined the whole drivers side door.....well the insurance co. totaled the car and his dad bought it back from them and got it fixed and on the road then this happened (see Pics) He had two friends with him none of which had their seatbelts on!! Hit a curb on the highway going well over 90 MPH flipped who know how many times and they all walked away without any major injuries! Crazy!! but my beloved 92 RS didn't fare so well!
This happened a while ago I just thought ya'll would like to some pictures!
Theses Pics are Before He got the car!

wow that almost makes me wish my car was a hard top.. i couldnt imagine how much worse it could have been if it was a ttop car and how little it takes for something to break through the glass.
just goes to show even with a 305 tbi,you dont need a fast motor to create such damage.if you cant handle a car with its given specs stock and drive around recklessly, you and the car itself are a danger to everyone and everything else around you.
the important part is everyone made it out ok for the most part.the car itself is irrelevant in my opinion.it can be replaced to look and feel like the one you had before it.a lesson i had to learn myself when i first bought my car and it had a modded 305 and in my head i knew the car was slow but doesnt mean i could drive it well and i did wreck it (powerslide into a tow truck on the driver qtr) taught me a lesson.i cooled off after that.. learned how to drive..and then i dropped in a 350 and relearned how to drive the car after that.

That is the main reason that F-bodys are the number one killer of people under 24 (according to my insurance insider) years of age. Fast, light and compact.

Make sure the next car he gets is the rustiest VW Beetle ever. That'll take care of him.

Glad they weren't seriously hurt in the crash. Was helping out a guy I know last night getting his new 350 going in his car, I have a bad feeling he'll be wrapping it around a tree now.

You shouldn't have sold him the car. There are plenty of cars out there for sale he could have found.

Re: How not to drive a 3rd Gen!! Crazy pics
my heart just broke seeing that poor car all torn up like that. Personally, I'd find a patch of ground in my backyard that needed to be re-sodded and bury him under it ( joke ofcourse, a car can be replaced, a person cannot...but it sounds good in theory)

well on a positive note, everybody walked away and the passenger compartment of the car seems to have survived well. Another testament to the survivability of 3rd gens in an accident. these things can take a hit.

The least they could do would be give it back to you so you could part it out and help other 3rd gens live.
