He is willing to take $1500.00 It runs good shifts good not sure if $1500 is too much what do you guys think?

I realize this is miles away from what you're thinking about, but if you end up with that car, please take those seat belt guides off those seats and paint em white with some krylon fusion... they make the hole interior looked half assed.

I agree with 84Z, it's probably worth the 1,500 but it sure doesn't hurt to throw a lowball number at him and see what happens.

Haha yeah I was thinking the same thing! He was asking $3000.00 for it I knew that was too high so I asked if he would take $1500 he thought about it and called back today saying he would. Thanks for the input I'll update if I do indeed get it.

Looks great, but dont jump on impulse. Theres a reason to why he's willing to sell it for less than what he first wanted, but he could possibly just be needing the money. Last car I bought (89 Mustang GT), the guys wanted like 3k, but wound up selling it for $1700. I wanted the car so bad, that i just took it, plus it was night time and couldnt see much...
Next day, the tranny grinded 3rd and 4th, i thought no big deal ill fix it. Then the engine was actually missing pretty bad and was completley stock. I thought it just had a big cam in it. Had a bent tie rod, and needed new struts all around. And the kicker? I took the carpet out and needs 2 new floorpans, the cowl panel was rusted out from underneith, has rust around the windsheld that was masked up and has rust on the hatch... :/ i got ****ed with the car.
So just be careful man, know what your getting youself into.. and if you buy the car. HAVE FUN! My thirdgen is my favorite car next to the 86 Supra I used to own!!!

I'd look elsewhere. The appearance of the engine bay turns me right off.
The place is a total hack job; choke heater wiring, misc. wires all over the place, plug wires aren't tidy, drippy RTV, hacked AIR injection hoses, etc.
Check the hose that's running from the front of the carb to the VC. It should be connected to a PCV valve, not a breather.
For me, appearance tells me a lot more about the car than anything else. Things like this are red flags. Sure, things things can be fixed, but it makes you wonder about the things that aren't readily visible. It also calls into question about the quality of the interior. It looks good but is it really?
Don't go into this with blinders on. Think long term which usually means lots of time and money down the road.

I took yours and others advice, I went and looked at it and decided not to purchase it. I'll just wait and find a better deal elsewhere.
Thanks!
