Replacing 305 LB9 with Carbed 350, HELP!
Hey all,
I just had a question. My transam had a 305 in it, dont know it it was the original motor or not. VIN says its an LB9. Im assuming all LB9's are TPI, however, this one was carbed when I got it. Anyways, Lots of wirers were cut, emissions stuff was all snipped, but everything worked pretty well. I was just curious about whether or not all LB9's were were TPI and if anyone could reccommend a check list to go through while running wiring that was designed for TPI over to a carbureted setup. Thanks for your help and Im sorry if i should have posted this in the engine swap section, but you guys here seem more responsive.

All LB9s are by definition TPI.
If you're going to a carbureted setup, you only need wiring for the distributor, gauges, charging system, starter, and electric choke.
