I cannot believe that worked !

I just traded my buddy my truck for his 3rd gen. Camaro, but discovered it had both head gaskets blown (found thanks to UV dye and a blacklight) , and called my buddy to find a quick fix other than actually replacing them which I am doing this weekend , and he recommended Alluma-Seal (sp?) by Bar's Leak.

It's made from freakin ginger root !!

I put in in and let it run for about 15 minutes and BOOM! Problem fixed !

It might be fixed for now, but for how long. I would fix it soon as you can, it's not a hard fix. Then flush your rad.

I wonder what it is actually doing? It must be swelling the gaskets or something.

And it probably won't hold up when the motor is under a lot of load.

That stuff basically clogs any tiny hole it comes across. I remember there being a bunch of those somewhere in these cars... Oh yeah, rad and heater core.

Yep it will. That crap is nasty just wait untill you pull the cap off and have brown gunk comming out the of the radiator. Its more of a im on the side of the road and need to get home fix. Ive used the head gasket in a bottle before many different brands just to get the car good enough so it can be driven away to be traded in. Some times it held across town to the dealer ship sometimes it dident.
