Are there any programs that take both 050 and seat to seat cam durations into account for better accuracy? I've been using DD2000 for awhile now, but it's fairly limited in the choices of exhaust, intake, etc.
I'm working with an engine builder and am planning on running a 274/274 adv and 218/218 050 with .45 lift on a 110 LSA with 4 degrees of advance in the 305, with 081 heads that have been cleaned up, flow around 200 cfm at .450". I'm using 1.5" primary headers with a 2.5" merge collectors, into a 2.5 Y, no cat, and 2.5" back. It's not going to put out much power, but it'll be better than stock.
The problem I'm having with DD and a few others are that they're showing worse than stock numbers at the fly, any idea what's with that?
FWIW, I'm expecting around 300fwhp, does that sound about right? 2xx to the ground. Suggestions on gears? I'm thinking 3.23s should work the best with this setup, as anything steeper doesn't seem like it'd offer much improvement. Other than that, I could stick with 2.73s, but I think they're a bit high.

All the dyno software is only good at playing "what if" If the results happen to match what you actually get on a dyno then you're doing better than most.
There are many factors that the dyno software can't account for. Jetting, timing, valve spring pressures, etc that will affect how an engine will run. The best any dyno software can do is calculate a best possible performance based on the data it knows about your engine.

Thanks for the response, I've been using Virtual Dyno Standard and it seems to come up fairly accurate to tested builds I've looked at online, however VD Pro is way off, and those others are too expensive, lol.

Engine Analyzer Pro from Performance Trends allows more inputs than you probably have data. Check their site and you'll see what I mean.
It's pricey though. I paid $500 for mine.

You get what you pay for. The cheapest software will only give ballpark results.
