Will this single plane manifold fit on my 305 with stock heads?

Which size manifold gaskets should I use?

I know this manifold is not matched well to this engine. My plan is ultimately to swap the motor for a 400 with AFR heads. My short term goal is to convert TBI to port fuel injection and learn to tune with the ebl computer, and make my mistakes with an old, disposable engine before I get my new one.

So I know I'm going to gain 2 HP and lose 50 TQ.

1991 305 tbi, 700r4, 2.77 diff gears.

Thanks!

I dont see why not. Wont be a great match like you said but should cover the intake ports. My victor was smaller than 1205 port out the box and I had to open them up to match my AFR ports. For stock application, it should fit well on those heads.

Being a 91 it should have centerbolt valve covers right? Are the middle head bolts for the intake manifold at the 72 deg angle or are they straight up like the outer corner bolts?

May have to oval out the middle bolt holes on the accel manifold to get it to bolt down to the heads but not hard to do. When you get AFR heads later, you can still use that same setup since AFR heads are available with the angled bolt pattern.

Holley stealth ram is already ovaled out to fit both pattern heads. No problems with ovaling out the bolt holes. maybe the accel one is ovaled already?

I do have centerbolt valve covers on the 305. I 'm going to email Jeg's and find out the angle of the bolts. We'll see what they say. I'm glad I asked, I didn't even know that!

Hello
Thank you for giving Jegs the opportunity to assist you with your technical question. Regarding Accel 74139 manifold. This manifold has all 12 bolt holes at the same straight in angle. It will not fit 87 to 95 cast iron head without modifications to the 4 center holes. Gaskets needed would be a Felpro 375-1205 or if you would like to port use 375-1206. Should you have any further questions please feel free to contact me directly.
Sincerely
Bob Grace
