need help..no spark and no fuel

i have a 91 camaro rs auto 305 tbi.
on xmas eve my car wouldn't start so i replaced the ign module. at the time it worked up until sunday. no i have no fuel and no spark what so ever. i went back to advance and got a replacement, still nothing. then i replaced the ign coil....and again still nothing. so i asked one of the mechanics at work. he said check ohms on the pick up coil. to see if it reads anything i got .720 ohms. i aslo have a spare distributor that i had with the car, that same pick up coil had .722 ohms.

then i put everything back together and still nothing. no fuel and no spark whats so ever.

thank god i got back my saab to get back and forth to school. can anyone please help me, i really want to sell it now so i can pay off my bill.

Re: need help..no spark and no fuel

well for the new fuel or spark that sends me a message saying no electric current do you have a new fuel pump that might possibly have a gauge on it or is everything stock cause if your not getting fuel or spark simply check voltage to the coil if your not getting any current you might have some problems.

Re: need help..no spark and no fuel

well, if the wires were bad i would have fuel. there has to be something that ties them both together. i dont think it could be the pcm or could it.

Pump primes with key on cycle?
Any codes?
Battery fully charged?
Fusible links good at the starter?
Is the Park/Neutral switch closed in these positions?

Because the injectors and coil connectors are readily accessible you can quickly eliminate them by:
Disconnect one injector and apply 12v to one of the 2 wires in the coil connector.
Momentarily (just a quick and light touch) grounding the other wire of the injector connector should give you a good squirt of fuel.

Disconnect coil and apply 12v to one of the 2 wires in the coil connector and connect the coil to distributor high voltage lead to a spare spark plug, or spark tester to ground. You should get a spark every time you momentarily make/break ground.

If these test are successfully your problem is in the wiring, power, or control devices.

Re: need help..no spark and no fuel

Have you looked to make sure the wire that goes from the battery to the junction down by radiator is intact ? It sounds like a bad connection somewhere to me .

You won't have fuel without reference pulses from the distributor getting to the ECM.

There isn't a crank sensor. The closest thing is the pickup coil in the distributor.

Re: need help..no spark and no fuel

Check the fuse by the radiator support, it feeds the fuel pump and ecm, if it's blown you will get nothing, a tip off is if the ses light doesn't come on when you try to start it.

Re: need help..no spark and no fuel

i just checked the fusible links correct. the one was marked 14, and had a little hole in it. i think coolant got into it. but i was going to test for it, and i have no idea where my dad put the keys at.

how should i replace it, should i replace that one or all four of them i believe???
