Ac delete on a non serp T/A
Hey guys. Was using the search to try and find a guide but I only found them for a serp setup. I was wondering if anyone out there that could walk me through it and tell me if I have to get that whole ac delete box and all that. So thanks in advance.

Regardless of the belt setup, you don't have to get the a/c delete box - most do it to get rid of the big ugly a/c box and clean up the bay. If you're v-belt, all you have to do is remove the a/c lines and compressor. The rest is cosmetic. Serp cars need the a/c delete pulley, which is now available for $40 or less from most auto parts stores.
Even though most would say it's a backwards move, I actually swapped to non-serp setup when I removed my A/C - I switched to the 1/2 serp 1/2 v belt setup from the earlier cars, and relocated my alt to the pass side (its on driver side with a serp setup) - it cleaned up the bay alot, I got rid of the big ugly aluminum brackets, and the bay looks alot nicer - and I still have a serp belt on the important part - the alternator.
